Some dogs need to be given extra space when they are in training, recovering from surgery or being rehabilitated. To indicate to the general public that a dog needs to be given space, the yellow dog project was formed.
A dog wearing a yellow bandana or with a yellow ribbon on its lead is signalling to the public that it needs to be given space. Please respect this need for space by keeping yourself and your dog at a safe distance, and allowing them time to move out of the way.
